Consistency Beats Intensity!

By Steph Garbutt

January is tough. New Year's Resolutions coupled with terrible weather. New gym programs partnered with leftover Christmas chocolates. And, quite frankly, prioritizing the last episodes of Stranger Things instead of that exercise class...

We've all been there. That motivation factor which allows us to push way too hard, and then absolutely dread coming back in. The truth? Progress doesn't come from the days you are motivated; it flourishes when you're consistent, whether you want to be there or not. Just show up. Again. And again. And again. And again.

Join me this month for a consistency challenge. Real progress comes from stacking repeatable habits over time. So every week, let's add an extra kilogram of weight to your squat, extend your plank time by 5 seconds, or shorten your recovery time. Chat to your trainer about the consistent habit you would like to be held accountable for, and we can help!

None of these changes will feel dramatic in the moment, but they will compound quickly! Leave a little in the tank, and train in a way that makes you want to return, so that even if you aren't motivated your habits can guide you to success. Consistency over intensity every time. That's the Dynamic way.
